The Senior Accountant is responsible for the oversight and execution of Acushnet's global lease accounting, serving as a key contributor to accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls. This role acts as the primary point of contact for lease-related accounting matters, partnering closely with internal business teams and international subsidiaries to review contracts, apply technical accounting guidance, and support month-end close and reporting activities. In addition to day-to-day execution, the Senior Accountant brings a continuous-improvement mindset-helping enhance processes, improve consistency, and support Acushnet's expanding global footprint.
What you Will Be Doing
- Review, interpret, and validate lease agreements in collaboration with business partners and international teams
- Own and execute global lease accounting activities in compliance with ASC 842 and IFRS 16, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
- Perform month-end close responsibilities related to lease accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and analytical review
- Evaluate complex and nonstandard lease arrangements and determine appropriate accounting treatment
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and efficiencies within lease accounting activities
- Support the Operational Accounting Group with ad hoc analysis, reporting, and special projects
- Communicate effectively with key stakeholders to support informed accounting decisions and business outcomes
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree required; CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in auditing, accounting, and financial reporting
- Public accounting experience (Big 4 or national firm) preferred
- Working knowledge of ASC 842 and IFRS 16 lease accounting guidance
- Strong understanding of SOX controls and public company close and reporting requirements
- Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable interacting with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to take on new challenges and expand responsibilities

Pay Range: $91,063.00-$113,646.00
