Best "A" rated regional property and casualty insurance carrier located in Macon, Georgia that has built its reputation on personal service to its agents and policyholders. Through valued relationships within the independent agency system in Georgia and Tennessee (expansion into North and South Carolina pending), we are able to offer a wide range of insurance products at competitive prices. Company History
Southern Trust was founded on the belief that a real need existed in the State of Georgia and in the South for an insurance company oriented to the needs of the policyholders and to the desires and goals of its employees and agents. The charter for Southern Trust Insurance Company was issued on May 17, 1968 and the first policy was issued on June 1, 1968. Our historical profitability has been based on a very conservative underwriting philosophy and this foundation of excellent risk management combined with modern technology will always be in place. Southern Trust has maintained an A.M. Best "A" rating for the past 21 consecutive years.
Southern Trust offers a myriad of personal and business insurance products through more than 200 independent insurance agencies in Georgia and Tennessee. Its personal insurance products include auto, home and additional personal coverage. Its business insurance products include general liability, workers' compensation and equipment breakdown which are tailored toward small and mid-sized businesses like retail stores, financial institutions and contractors.
