Michigan Municipal Risk Management Authority (MMRMA) is a public entity group self-insurance pool that provides liability and property coverage to municipal governmental entities across Michigan. MMRMA was born in 1980. Members include cities, counties, townships, and special districts, along with libraries, medical care facilities, fire departments, 911/dispatch centers, courts, and transportation departments. Today, MMRMA is the largest liability and property pool in Michigan and a recognized national leader in the field. MMRMA is committed to helping its members meet the challenges of tomorrow.

Company History

Michigan Municipal Risk Management Authority (MMRMA) began in 1980 when three public entities pooled their resources to secure insurance coverage. Today, MMRMA's membership is comprised of more than 400 public entities across Michigan including its three founders.
