Opportunity Overview
Advanced Adjustment Service is seeking an experienced General Adjuster to handle residential, commercial, and high-value property claims throughout the Greater New York City Metro Area, Southern Connecticut, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
This is a commission-based opportunity ideal for experienced adjusters seeking strong earning potential, consistent claim volume, and the support of a respected, growing independent adjusting firm.
Adjusters receive assignments based on geographic territory, experience, and availability, supported by our internal systems and carrier relationships.
Compensation
$90,000 – $200,000+ annually (100% commission-based; estimated earnings range)
This role is fully commission-based. Earnings are driven by claim volume, claim complexity, and adjuster productivity. Advanced Adjustment Service maintains active carrier relationships and consistent claim assignments throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct on-site inspections for residential, commercial, and high-value property claims
Investigate, evaluate, and document property damage accurately
Prepare detailed estimates using Xactimate or similar estimating platforms
Analyze insurance policy coverage and prepare comprehensive reports
Maintain professional communication with policyholders, carriers, contractors, and experts
Manage claims efficiently while meeting carrier reporting timelines and service expectations
Maintain high standards of professionalism, documentation, and service

Requirements
Required:
- Minimum 5 years of property claims adjusting experience
- Active New York Adjuster License
- Strong proficiency with Xactimate
- Experience handling field property claims independently
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage workload autonomously
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred:
- Commercial property claim experience
- High-net-worth or complex loss experience
- Additional state licenses (NJ, CT, MA, RI, NH, VT, PA)
- Experience working as an independent adjuster
