This role is responsible for investigating claims involving potential material misrepresentation, including unlisted drivers and policy application discrepancies. The position requires conducting thorough coverage and liability investigations to ensure accurate interpretation and application of policy language, as well as analyzing policy information, statements, and supporting documentation to identify red flags and potential fraud indicators. The adjuster will draft clear, well-supported coverage determination and denial letters, including unlisted driver denials, collaborate with internal partners to ensure consistent, compliant, and timely claim resolutions, and maintain detailed documentation in accordance with all regulatory and company guidelines.
The ideal candidate will bring a solid background in claims handling, with direct experience in coverage investigation and liability determination. Demonstrated experience investigating policy fraud or material misrepresentation, along with the ability to accurately interpret policy language and confidently communicate coverage decisions in writing. The role demands a high level of attention to detail, strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and effective written and verbal communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities
• For claims involving fraud or subrogation, partners with assigned reps from those areas to achieve best outcome
• Recognizes and identifies body parts of a vehicle and understanding of other potential property damage
• Identifies customer needs and works to meet those needs using appropriate customer service skills
• Determines subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle
• Applies intermediate understanding of insurance policies written by the company, the industry, and organizational relationships within the company and department
• Handles investigation regarding all aspects of auto claims (coverage, damages, subrogation) with the exercise of discretion and independence within increased level of authority

Compensation
Base compensation offered for this role is:
Adjuster Analyst III: $50,000.00 - 65,300.00/salary
Adjuster Cons I: $53,500.00 - 77,800.00/salary
Adjuster Cons II: $56,000.00 - 82,500.00/salary
Compensation is based on experience and qualifications. Total compensation for this role may include additional components, such as incentive pay (for example, commission or bonus), if applicable.
